"Moving" Right Along

Hello All,
I hope everyone is well. I just wanted to update you on how we are progressing. We went to another ultra sound appointment. The prospect of seeing our baby on a screen, albeit not a very clear picture, was very exciting. We step into the room and we didn't have to wait long. Dr. Columbo, who was our doctor for the previous visit, came in and prepared the "magic wand" for use. We got started and immediately we saw the formation of a small baby.

The Doctor pointed out the nose, an arm, a leg and the tummy of our baby. She was moving the wand, trying to get a better look when all of a sudden the baby moved!!! My heart leapt out of my chest. For the first time we saw our baby wiggle and re-adjust itself. I thought that it was the baby that was active but, the doctor told me that it was because of the sound waves coming from the wand that made the baby move.

I could have stared at that screen forever but I knew that the baby probably was getting bothered by the sound waves. Still it was incredible. There are very few things that you could actually call a miracle; this is definitely in that category. We put a picture of what we saw (kinda). The head is to the left and the tummy is to the right. You really can't tell but the baby is facing out towards you. In between the head and the tummy, at the top, is the baby's arm.

We are now officially 13 weeks along and everything seems to be going according to schedule. We had gone into Modesto to see a movie the Saturday before Mother's Day and in front of the theatres they were having a sort of Mother's Day fair. They had things like Party Lite reps and people selling lotions and jewelry and the like. All of the booths were having some sort of raffle for things like free memberships and free candles. We signed up for all of them. We actually won one of them. It is a 3D picture of our baby. We are going to wait until the baby is over 20 weeks along before we will have that taken. We can't wait.

Everything with the family is fine. My schedule changes every 3 weeks so I am hitting and missing seeing my girls. I am trying to change this situation. I will keep you all informed on the details when I get them. In the meantime, have a great day and I will talk to you again.
